Walt "Rock" Beneze

Hello, my name is Walt, and I would like to welcome you to my cellar! If you share the same passion as I do for rocks and minerals, then you might relate to how it has taken over my life. In fact, some of my friends just call me Rock! My love for rocks started when I was a kid, thanks to my father. We used to go on rock-hunting trips, and this is where my fascination with rocks and minerals began. We would take the rocks we found home, and he would and cut and polish them, which eventually led me to pursue Lapidary work. I set up some machines in my cool, cozy cellar, which became my workshop. After collecting various rocks and minerals for many years, I finally decided to "empty the cellar." You will find various rocks in different stages, from rough to slabs, pre-forms, and even some finished jewelry. Additionally, I have included some of my memories as a rockhound on this website, sharing short stories of some places and things I have enjoyed through the years.
